It's Friday so it means it's time for the Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday!
First off, the Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Jennifer of Crazy-for-Books. It is a way for all the book bloggers out there to get together and find out about each other's blogs. I've found a lot of great blogs and bloggers through this hop and it's always fun to take part in each week.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO READ? CURLED UP ON THE SOFA, IN BED, IN THE GARDEN?
I mostly read on my bed because it's nice and cosy. I sometimes read on the couch but that all depends on what my roommates are doing. As for reading in the garden, I don't have much of a garden and even if I did, it is way to cold to even think about reading there.
The Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View each week. It works a lot like the Book Blogger Hop except that it's only on Fridays. I haven't been taking part in this hop as long but I've found a lot of great new blogs through this one too.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? BASICALLY, WHAT BOOK IS THAT?
Right now I've finally gotten around to reading Linger by Maggie Stiefvater. I absolutely loved Shiver and this one has been sitting on my shelf for the longest time and now I'm reading it. I'm just a little over 100 pages in but so far I'm loving it and can't wait to see what's coming next in the book.
Last weekend I participated in Young Adult Books Reviewed's Halloween Read-A-Thona and it was a lot of fun. I didn't end up reading as many books as I would have liked but I did manage to finish Beautiful Darkness (you can see my review here) and The Iron Daughter (review coming soon!) and get started on Linger. It was a lot of fun and it happened to fall right when I didn't have any assignments to hand in so it worked out perfectly!
Unless anything unexpected comes up, tomorrow evening (Friday) I will be meeting Lesley Livingston at an event at the main branch of the Ottawa Public Library. I'm really excited because for once an author is actually coming to Ottawa (they never do) instead of to Toronto. For those who don't know Lesley Livingston is the author of Wondrous Strange and Darklight (books 1 and 2 of a trilogy) which are some of my favorite books that I have read since starting the blog. She is a really great writer and I can't wait to read Tempestuous (book 3) which comes out in December...and to meet her of course!
Enjoy your weekends!
