Cassel comes from a family of curse workers--people who have the power to change your emotions, your memories, your luck, by the slightest touch of their hands. Since curse work is illegal, they’re all criminals. But not Cassel. He hasn’t got the magic touch, so he’s an outside--the straight kid in a crooked family--as long as you ignore one small detail: He killed his best friend, Lila. Now he is sleepwalking, propelled into the night by terrifying dreams about a white cat. He also notices that his brothers are keeping secrets from him. As Cassel begins to suspect he’s part of a huge con game, he must unravel his past and his memories. To find out the truth, Cassel will have to outcon the conmen.

Clara Gardner has recently learned that she’s part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn’t easy. Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall in place--and out of place at the same time. Because there’s another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara’s less angelic side.As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she’s have to make--between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?UNEARTHLY is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.

It's Friday so it means it's time for the Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday!
First off, the Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Jennifer of Crazy-for-Books. It is a way for all the book bloggers out there to get together and find out about each other's blogs. I've found a lot of great blogs and bloggers through this hop and it's always fun to take part in each week.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
I honestly don't know. I would probably go into the bookstore with the intentions of buying specific books but then I would end up with a completely different load when I come out. I can say though, that many of the books would be books in series that I haven't bough yet for series I want the complete set. And the rest would be recent releases that I just haven't gotten around to buying. Just go look at my Goodreads "wish list" bookshelf and you'll have a pretty good idea of what I would come out with.
The Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View each week. It works a lot like the Book Blogger Hop except that it's only on Fridays. I haven't been taking part in this hop as long but I've found a lot of great new blogs through this one too.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Just like Ashley said (love it) "Ashley the girl..." who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?
Other than a crazy book reader and blogger, I am a 20 year old university student. I am halfway through my degree and I am still deciding what I want to do once I graduate and I have my degree. Lucky for me, I still have two years to figure it out. Outside of books, I love pretty much any kind of music and have an interest in sports, having been a competitive athlete in high school. So if I'm not reading or blogging, you'll find me either listening to music, watching TV or doing homework...or any combination of those, I tend to multi-task a lot.
That's it for this week!

With the release of City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare fast approaching, I thought I would share a little about what makes me love The Mortal Instruments series so much and what I hope to see in this next book.
I first read the original three books in this series a long time ago and fell in love. For the most part I was happy with how City of Glass finished and was just looking forward to reading Clockwork Angel, the first book in the prequel series The Infernal Devices. But then last year it was announced that there would be three more books coming out. I was beyond excited to see what Cassandra Clare would come up with next.
I know I’m probably not the only one to be looking forward to this next book just to get more of Jace. Let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want more of him? I was so happy when everything turned out okay (for the most part) for him and Clary in City of Glass. Them not being siblings was a huge plus, though I would have gladly taken him if it wasn’t an option for Clary.
When I think about City of Fallen Angels, I look forward to seeing how all the different relationships will develop. What will happen to Clary and Jace now that they can actually be together? Which girl will Simon choose, Isabelle or Maya? Shadowhunter or werewolf? What’s going to happen to Alec and Magnus? With Jocelyn and Luke now that they’re getting married? There are so many different relationships in this series and I honestly cannot wait to see how they will develop.
It should also be quite interesting to see how different characters adapt to their new situations. Clary is now a Shadowhunter and Simon a vampire. They both have a lot of adapting to do. Simon is especially special, what with being the only vampire that can go out in daylight and not die.
The Mortal Instruments series is one of my all time favorite series, and I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am for the release of City of Fallen Angels. For now I leave you with the countdown widget for the book and the first newly released book trailer. If you ask me, it all looks pretty awesome.
